A Personal Update

by Annette

I wanted to share a personal update with you. My husband Chuck and I will be fulfilling a longtime dream by walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. This ancient pilgrimage is deeply meaningful in our faith. In 2017, we walked a portion of the Camino, and that experience stayed with us. It reminded us that life isn’t measured only by where we arrive, but by who we become along the way and the people we carry in our hearts. Ever since then, we have hoped to return and walk the entire 500 miles from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France, to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

As we thought about when to do this, we realized there would never be a perfect time. But there is a right time.

Send Me Your Prayers to Carry on the Camino

Before I leave for the Camino, I have a small gift to offer. If you have a prayer intention—whether it is for yourself, someone you love, or simply something that is on your heart—I would be honored to carry it with me. Please feel free to email me at anwalker@coh.org or send it interoffice before Aug. 7. It will be my honor to carry your intentions from St. Jean to Santiago and pray for you along the way.

If you would like to follow along and hear about our experiences, please XX, where I will periodically post updates. And if you happen to think of me while I’m walking, I would certainly appreciate a prayer that I make it over the Pyrenees!

With gratitude,

Annette
